Become a Summer Job Coach

Innovative Ways 4U (IW4U) is seeking Job Coaches who are able to carry themselves in a professional manner while representing IW4U demonstrating patience, tolerance and dependability at the workplace. The ideal individual will work well with minimal supervision, interact with clients and other individuals encountered at the workplace with a friendly and positive attitude and be capable of making simple decisions regarding appropriate workplace behavior and be accountable for those decisions.

IW4U Job Coaches are certified through the UNTWISE Job Skills Training Credential program where they learn techniques to increase our client’s independence and abilities to meet an employer’s expectations as a valuable member of the workforce. The program also provides them with the skills and knowledge necessary to assist our clients with learning proper workplace behavior, managing the employment process, workplace communication, and other aspects of community employment.

IW4U Job Coaches are responsible for providing on site support for our clients while each client learns the skills necessary to do the job they are hired to do and to redirect the client in a professional and respectful manner when necessary. It is the ultimate goal of our job coaches to monitor and assess the amount of support necessary for the client to be successful at their job and then work with the client to slowly eliminate the need for the Job Coach's support. Ironically, the best Job Coaches are the ones who work themselves out of a job with each and every client as the client gains more independence and the skills necessary to perform the job without outside support.

If this sounds like you, apply today and join our team!

*SEAL Job Coaches only work during the summer programs
